We got good news from Boo Corrigan yesterday when he announced that NC State’s football program has been cleared to return to the practice field on Monday. The Wolfpack haven’t done anything in a team capacity since Aug. 22 after a cluster of coronavirus cases was discovered in the athletics department.

I’d imagine the football team is still a bit shorthanded with some guys still in isolation, but at least there haven’t been any additional major setbacks—it was tough not to worry about that after seeing the large number of folks in the athletics department who tested positive.
The regular students will be moved out of on-campus housing by Sept. 6, so you figure if the football program can make it through this week unscathed, the odds of it staying that way will increase substantially. That’s as close to a bubble as they’re gonna get this season.
