On Thursday morning, the ACC released the football schedule, which includes each team’s non-conference opponent in addition to the matchups we already knew about. NC State is set to open the 2020 season at Virginia Tech on Sept. 12 and will welcome Liberty as its non-conference opponent in November, as had been previously scheduled.
Sept. 12 — at Virginia Tech
Sept. 19 — vs. Wake Forest
[OPEN]
Oct. 3 — at Pittsburgh
Oct. 10 — at Virginia
Oct. 17 — vs. Duke
Oct. 24 — at UNC
[OPEN]
Nov. 6 (Friday) — vs. Miami
Nov. 14 — vs. Florida State
Nov. 21 — vs. Liberty
Nov. 28 — at Syracuse
Dec. 5 — vs. Georgia Tech
It’s front-loaded with road games, which is not ideal, but this slate does at least provide the opportunity for a strong finish, with those last three games all very winnable. And perhaps necessary to win in order to finish with a winning record on the year.
