North Carolina governor Roy Cooper announced Tuesday that he will ease the restrictions on large outdoor gatherings beginning in October, and stadium venues with more than 10,000 seats will be allowed to fill to 7 percent capacity.
For NC State, that means a smidge over 4,000 fans can attend the Wolfpack’s next game at Carter-Finley, which comes against Duke on Oct. 17. Athletics director Boo Corrigan released a statement on the matter:

They’ve got a decent amount of time to figure out the logistics and how they want to portion out the limited tickets—it’ll be a limited number of Wolfpack Club members, in addition to the portion granted to players’ family members, and I’d imagine students will get a small chunk. Will the band be there? I hope there’s a safe way to make that work.
And what do they do with the cardboard cutouts that were littered around the front rows last weekend? Leave them in the best seats? Consolidate them into a couple of sections?
