There are no divisions this season, so the ACC preseason football media poll looks like a basketball poll gone horribly wrong. NC State is predicted to finish 11th, ahead of Duke, Syracuse, Boston College, and Georgia Tech. Clemson is the runaway pick to win the league again, of course, though Notre Dame did earn a couple first-place votes.

The preseason all-conference teams also were released, and NC State’s lone representative is punter Trenton Gill. Trevor Lawrence is the preseason Player of the Year even though Travis Etienne has won that honor two years in a row. Also, someone voted for Chazz Surratt for some reason. What, is he gonna have 200 tackles and save a baby from a burning building every week?
