NC State ranked #19 in initial College Football Playoff ranking

Wake Forest is the top ranked ACC team at 9th

NC State is ranked #19 in the initial College Football Playoff Top 25 ranking of the 2021 season.

Only three ACC teams made the ranking: #9 Wake Forest, #19 NC State, and #25 Pittsburgh. Not a bad place to be for a Wolfpack squad that has been hit hard by injuries this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

With a game still to play against Wake Forest, the Wolfpack have an opportunity to continue to move up in the rankings - as well as to play spoiler against the currently undefeated Demon Deacons.
