NC State lost some good folks on the recruiting/creative side this offseason: Director of Player Personnel Billy Glasscock left for the same job at Texas, and Director of Creative Media Chanelle Smith-Walker moved on to Tennessee. Both of those roles have become increasingly important in modern college football.
The Wolfpack made four additions to help fill out its recruiting staff, and gave Merci Falaise a promotion to the Director of Player Personnel position. Mike Jones, who spent the last two seasons at UNC, is the new Director of Creative Media.

There’s a whole lot going into recruiting these days, and as schools have seen more money from conference payouts, they’ve invested a lot in support staff. That includes analysts who work on game-week preparation, though these recruiting staffers are just as important, if not moreso.
