The NC State athletics department’s strategic plan for 2021-26 is available here for your perusal, though it’s more of a soup of corporate-speaky goals than an outline of specific strategies. There are no facilities updates here, either, for those curious about, oh, maybe a baseball stadium.
Still, there are a few noteworthy bits and pieces here. Boo Corrigan notes in his introduction that the department managed to eliminate its COVID-19-related budget deficit without any assumed debt, which is good news indeed. About three-quarters of NCSU’s anticipated $22.8 million deficit was made up through donations and department salary cuts/furloughs.
NC State has enough limitations without having a big ol’ deficit to worry about.
The department wants to win ACC titles in football, men’s and women’s hoops, and baseball over the next five seasons and I guess that’s theoretically achievable. At least for Wes Moore.
