Welp!
Tough news for our team. LB Payton Wilson and SAF Cyrus Fagan will both undergo surgery and miss the remainder of the season. pic.twitter.com/jRZj4K3sm0

These are both significant blows for the NC State Wolfpack football team as Patyon Wilson and Cyrus Fagan were both starters. Fagan, a transfer from Florida State, is currently 2nd on the team in tackles and recorded an interception in the opener versus South Florida. Wilson, the 2020 ACC leader in tackles and a 2021 team captain, is a huge loss. His absence was noticeable for the defense after leaving Saturday’s game with his injury.
More to come on specifics and how the defense will adjust, but this will certainly not make life easier trying to bounce back from the loss to Mississippi State.
