NC State has its starting quarterback for 2024: Coastal Carolina transfer Grayson McCall committed to the Wolfpack on Wednesday following weekend visits to both State and UCF. The Pack quickly zeroed in on McCall, who will be a sixth-year senior next season, when he hit the portal.
It’s not often you’ll find a guy on the market who has over 10,000 career passing yards, and McCall hit that mark this past season—he also has 88 career touchdown passes, with only fourteen interceptions. His TD-INT ratios for his first three seasons as a starter: 26-3, 27-3, 24-2. Not bad, not bad.
His extensive experience, never mind the passing ability, will be a big asset for NC State, and his addition makes me as optimistic as I’ve been about the offense in a long time. He’ll be walking into a good situation with KC Concepcion and Wesley Grimes leading a receiving corps that’s adding some exciting talent in this year’s recruiting class.
