New Rankings

The Pack (8-0) are one of the country’s three remaining unbeaten teams (Iowa & Virginia Tech) - Nebraska took their first loss to Wisconsin over the weekend. This helped NC State move up to #5 in the this week’s new NWCA team rankings. If you’re counting, that makes the 67th straight poll that Popolizio’s team has been ranked in the top 10. Can you say ‘perennial’?

In addition, FloWrestling released their new set of individual rankings on Tuesday. Find out where the Pack grapplers stack-up below:

  • 125 - Camacho #19 (last week: 19)
  • 141 - T. Wilson #16 (18)
  • 157 - H. Hidlay #2 (2)
  • 165 - T. Bullard #13 (10)
  • 174 - D. Bullard #18 (21)
  • 184 - T. Hidlay #3 (3)
  • 197 - Reenan #15 (14)
  • 285 - D. Wilson #24 (23)

Upcoming Weekend Duals

The boys head north for another weekend on the road. Their first stop is in Philadelphia for a matchup against Drexel (5-4) on Friday evening (7PM). Then they keep on moving up to New York to take on Hofstra (3-4) on Saturday afternoon (4PM). Probable lineups along with my predictions are below:

According to GoPack.com’s probable lineups, we won’t be seeing Tariq Wilson this weekend. I haven’t heard anything injury- or discipline-related, so we can only assume this is the staff giving him the weekend off. The team shouldn’t need him to win either of these duals.
