Trea Turner celebrates Nationals’ World Series title using his customary NC State gear

MLB: World Series-Washington Nationals at Houston Astros Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Trea Turner is without question the most prominent NC State baseball alum to reach the majors since ... ever? He’s good, yes, but also he likes to celebrate by donning some NC State headgear in the locker room. Every time the Nationals advanced in these playoffs, there he was, wearing a Wolfpack helmet as the beer flew.

Tuesday night was no exception.

(Frank Thomas with the shout-out there.)

Some time between the end of the NLCS and the World Series, NC State must have hooked Trea up with an up-to-date helmet—he had been wearing stuff with the block S on it.

Congrats to Trea and the Nats on the World Series win, and my hat is off to you, Trea, for being so dedicated to the helmet celebration that you made sure to bring it on all the road trips. A job well done across the board, sir.
