Torin Dorn worked out twice with the Charlotte Hornets in the lead-up to the NBA Draft, which got him on the team’s radar and earned him an invite to play for the Hornets’ summer league squad. Dorn went undrafted, but if he’s able to impress scouts in Vegas, he could earn a training camp invitation somewhere, which would likely come with a bit of guaranteed money.

Dorn will be on a team with Charlotte’s three 2019 draft selections: PJ Washington, Cody Martin (funny how things work out, huh), and Jalen McDaniels. Devonte Graham and former Florida State wing Dwayne Bacon are a couple other familiar names on the roster.
I don’t know that Dorn will get a lot of playing time since he’s only a fringe prospect at this point, but at the very least, there’s value in playing against the other guys on his team in workouts.
The Hornets open summer league on July 5 against Golden State. They’ll be on ESPN2 on July 7 and ESPNU on July 8. Their full summer schedule is here.
