The 2019 MLB Draft begins on Monday night with rounds one and two. Those rounds will air on MLB Network and MLB.com beginning at 7 p.m. ET. NC State shortstop Will Wilson is probably going to hear his name called in the opening round.

In this mock draft by MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo, Wilson is projected to go at No. 24 overall to the Cleveland Indians. (Which, ew.) But the baseball draft always seems harder to pin down than other sports’ drafts once you get past the first 10 picks or so. Wilson could end up in a number of places in that middle-to-late portion of the first.

If he does go in the first round, he’ll be the first NC State player to do so since Carlos Rodon and Trea Turner were both taken in the first round of the 2014 draft. It didn’t take either of them long to reach the majors and hopefully we can say the same for Wilson.
