Torin Dorn will begin his professional basketball career in Europe, with a Polish team called Slask Wroclaw. The team announced Dorn’s addition earlier this week, and in the mean time I have been amusing myself with my browser’s terrible translation of that press release.
Here’s the scouting report on Torin, for example:
The American measures 196 centimeters and weighs 95 kilograms. Is a versatile and offensive player who can effectively finish the action under the basket, accurately throw from a half distance or collect the ball on the offensive.
Twitter could not handle translating Polish, either.

Lotta guys from behind the ocean playing in Europe these days.
After leaving NC State, Dorn worked out with the Charlotte Hornets a couple of times in the lead-up to the NBA Draft, and he also played on the Hornets’ Vegas summer league team. His best opportunity stateside would have been an NBA camp invite and a spot in the G-League, but it appears those things weren’t likely to materialize.
Best of luck to Torin overseas!
