NC State has two players in The Athletic’s latest NFL mock draft

NC State doesn’t have headlining NFL Draft talent this year but should nonetheless put another defensive lineman or two in the league. Larrell Murchison had a fine year in the middle and is the Wolfpack’s best prospect, though he seems destined to be a late-round selection. He’s projected into the fifth round of this mock draft from The Athletic’s Dane Brugler.

The particulars aren’t terribly important at that stage of a mock draft—much respect to anybody who actually has a go at the entire seven rounds—but anyway, Murchison ends up with New Orleans.

Rather than focusing on that, let us instead focus on how Murchison at Florida State for lunch.

Brugler also projects that James Smith-Williams will go in the sixth round. It stinks that injuries ended up being so limiting to his potential, but all he needs is a shot and a run of good health. He ran a 4.6 forty at the Combine, which might be enough by itself for somebody to take a flyer.
