Russell Wilson will be back at NC State later this spring to announce whether or not he’s ready to demand a trade from the Seattle Seahawks. Wait, that’s not right. Russ will be in Raleigh to impart a few words of wisdom to the class of 2021.
“We are honored to welcome Russell Wilson back to NC State to inspire our spring 2021 graduates at these very special commencement ceremonies,” said Chancellor Randy Woodson. “Russell has always supported his alma mater well and represented NC State with class. We know our students, their families and our entire Wolfpack community will be excited to see Russell back home at Carter-Finley Stadium.”
Yes, if you believe it, kids, you too can achieve your own entire Pack of Badgers. Wilson is not new to the commencement speaker gig, having several years ago given remarks to a graduating class at Wisconsin. (Possibly someone from this website accidentally created a bit of a kerfuffle in the aftermath; can’t remember who that was.)
It’s tough to come to terms with the fact that it’s been more than 10 years since Russell Wilson was NC State’s quarterback. Time flies, man.
