We see you, NC State women’s basketball, and thanks for this moment of distraction—it’s really well timed. NC State beat Louisville on the road in overtime on Thursday night, 72-70. This was the game-winner:

Pretty fortunate roll there, but you know what, who cares. I’ll take this every time.
NC State has beaten a lot of really good teams this year, and despite the disappointing loss at UNC on Sunday, the Pack is in great shape to not only make the NCAA tournament but also earn a good draw. Wes Moore has done a tremendous coaching job this year, but it always boils down to what happens on the floor, designed or improvised.
Thursday night, State blew a late lead (you’ve heard that story before), fended off a loss in regulation and then made the most of things in this moment. Sometimes it goes the other way. Tonight it went the good way.
