UNC women’s hoops player explains how NC State both is and is not a rival at the same time

I don’t like to dwell on this subject since mostly it bores me, but in this case I thought it important to attempt to parse some recent comments by UNC women’s hoops player Paris Kea. This is from Wednesday:

“It’s NC State ... they feel like they’re one of our rivals, we don’t really feel that way we just enjoy to beat them maybe a little more than we enjoy to beat Duke.” Well, okay, yes I suppose that follows and I can accept your opin— WAIT A MINUTE. Wait a minute what just happened. What is going on here. You said one thing and then immediately contradicted yourself. Didn’t you? Or did you? Or didn’t you? WHERE AM I
