Wes Moore generally has recruited well in his time at NC State, and now that his program has a little extra momentum after a trip to the Sweet Sixteen, he’s making the most of it. On Tuesday, NC State landed a commitment from five-star forward Jada Boyd, who also considered Louisville and West Virginia.
ESPN’s recruiting service ranks her No. 5 at her position and No. 32 overall in the class of 2019. Boyd is the second five-star player to commit to NC State in this cycle, joining wing Jakia Brown-Turner, who is the No. 17 overall prospect in the country per ESPN.
The Wolfpack Women are still playing catch-up with Notre Dame and to a lesser extent, Louisville, when it comes to competing consistently for ACC titles, but more recruiting success like this can change the picture. The program is in good hands.
