Stellar defensive play carried the day for the Wolfpack, who again showed why they are so tough to crack in the paint. State forced a lot of missed shots and didn’t let BC keep itself in the game with second chance opportunities. That’s a combination that’s going to result in a win more often than not.
Elissa Cunane was a little quiet from the field, but the Pack had six players in double figures and the team connected on eight of 22 three-point attempts. They finished with a decisive edge in shooting.
State returns home this week for games against Virginia Tech and UVA before road trips to UNC and Notre Dame. The Wolfpack could/should be 5-0 in the ACC heading into a big home game against eighth-ranked Florida State on Jan. 16.
