The women’s NCAA basketball tournament gets underway Friday, though NC State doesn’t play until Saturday afternoon. That game is also in Reynolds Coliseum, by the way, in case you need another excuse to visit the old barn this weekend. The Wolfpack is the No. 3 seed in the Greensboro Regional and will host the first and second round games.
The Pack’s first opponent is Maine—oddly enough, it’s a rematch from the regular season. NC State beat the Black Bears 84-46 back on Dec. 15. That was roughly 17 knee injuries ago.
ESPN2 will anchor women’s hoops coverage all weekend, and viewers in North Carolina will be able to catch State-Maine in its entirety on that channel. Here is the coverage map:
According to ESPN, you can catch the game on channel 789 on DirecTV and channel 145 on Dish.
The ladies are aiming for a second consecutive trip to the sweet sixteen. The biggest threat to their getting there is probably going to be Kentucky, which is the six-seed in the region.
