Wes Moore has it rolling on the recruiting trail, picking up a five-star addition to his program for the second time in as many weeks. Two weeks, two five-star guards joining the program—not bad! Aziaha James committed to the Wolfpack on Saturday evening:
Congratulations Aziaha on your commitment to continue your education and basketball career at NC State

NC State’s frontcourt is well-stocked for the foreseeable future, so the focus for Moore and his staff has been the backcourt. The Wolfpack added five-star guard Jessica Timmons last weekend, and James gives State a second blue-chip guard prospect in its 2021 class.
James picked NC State over Mississippi State, Pitt, Arizona, and Florida. She’s rated by ESPN as the No. 21 overall prospect in the 2021 class. Timmons is also a top-50 player in the class.
James comes from a dominant high school program that has won seven straight state titles, and she is the Tidewater Player of the Year for the second season in a row. This season she averaged 18.7 points, 8.7 boards, and 4.7 steals (!) per game.
